Waking Up Early Changed My Life How Anyone Can Do It

I am by a definite morning person I love waking up early my dad was in the military. So my sisters and I had that ingrained in us pretty early on and I've experienced a lot of benefits that come with being an early riser. So in today's video, I want to go over Soph the reasons you might want to consider moving your wake-up time up just a little bit every day even as early as 5:00 a.m. If you're so inclined and then also some of the reasons or some of the ways.

That I personally have become a morning person over the years some of the tips and tricks that really work for me and allow me to stick to waking up early without getting discouraged and feeling super tired. So before we hop into it though I want to thank today's sponsor beauty by design is a fantastic skincare company. That really works to make customized routines for you and your personal needs at varying price points the products are fantastic and they're really a great surface to hone in on a routine. That's quick and easy and something you can stick to even when waking up really early. So I'll touch on more of them in just a second but for now, let's hop into the video first up let's go over some of the reasons.

You might want to wake up early every day so these are really gonna help you hone in on your key motivator. I find that it's very important to have a motivator to stick to any habit but especially something like waking up early. If you're accustomed to doing so so waking up early gives me more time in the day to get things done which ultimately helped me be more productive and then I don't have to worry about running out of time. So I'm not constantly rushing with very few hours in the day instead I'm building in more time, in the beginning, to get my stuff done. I'm also able to dedicate the time to my health and fitness that keeps me healthy.

So I don't have to worry about working in a workout at the end of the day. When I'm already tired this was especially helpful when I was working a traditional nine-to-five job. Which was more like 7:30 8 o'clock in the morning all the way to about 7 or 8 at night. I found that by the time I got home I was just way too tired to workout so by moving everything to the front half of the day. I was able to really take care of myself put me before anything else. Which helped me stick to a routine this next one is especially true. If you're like me and trying to work on a side project or side job while working a traditional nine-to-five so like I mentioned earlier my traditional job was taking up a lot of my time but I really wanted to devote some of that time to blog and YouTube to the blog of my youtube channel.

So what I did was I would work in the first half of the day. I would wake up early and dedicate about an hour and a half to two hours in the morning to what I was considering to be a passion project. That really allowed me to have both a full-time job which is necessary to pay the bills and love your life. While still working on something that I've been able to turn into a full-time job it's a great way to put yourself first and I find that since no one else is awake in the morning. It's a really great time to work uninterrupted so you can stay motivated on your goals without having to field emails and texts and phone calls and interruptions that come with living life. Now let's go over some of my personal tips for becoming a morning person.

Especially if you aren't one already so these are especially helpful if you're trying to rework your routine and maybe you have some old habits of staying up really late and then waking up late and feeling tired and you really want to rework. That it is the new year and it's a great time to redo some of our old habits and I found that these tips have really helped me stick to waking up early without having to sacrifice my sleep or my sanity. So the first thing is you want to figure out why you definitely want to identify your reasoning behind redoing a habit or setting a new goal before jumping in headfirst and for me personally, a lot of those have always been directed at self-growth along those same lines.

It's not enough to just establish why you want to wake up early but you also have to give yourself something to look forward to so let's say you really want to wake up early so that you can start exercising and stick to a routine that works for you. But you don't really love waking up early you don't really love going to the gym or exercising so that's not gonna be enough to get you out of bed in the morning instead maybe your motivator is going to be your cup of coffee. I really love espresso so for me my morning motivate is that I can get up out of bed go downstairs and have my first cup of espresso on my laptop. While I watch YouTube videos that is enough of a 15 to 30 minute morning routine to get me out of bed and excited to take on the day instead of having my alarm go off and me dreading getting up.

Because I know that I'm just gonna go downstairs and putter around and then have to go to the gym or do something. That I don't really want to do now obviously a lot of waking up early happens at night. Actually, it's a lot of prep work the day before the night before and really establishing a routine for yourself that allows you to get to bed at a decent time to wake up feeling refreshed. So if you currently don't have a system like that you don' have a nighttime routine I definitely recommend trying to figure one out. I think that by signaling to your body that it's time to go to bed. You'll be amazed at how much easier you'll be able to fall asleep like for me for example I shower at night.

So when I shower my body knows it's time for bed. So I'll do my evening routine and I will by the time it's all done go downstairs sit on the couch watching Netflix just relax with my animals. I've got a couple of pets that I like to cuddle and then um that what ends up happening is after about 30 to 40 minutes my body is ready for sleep it has signaled to me. That it is time for bed I start to wind down and I'm able to fall asleep very very easily. Now let's say you don't currently have a nighttime routine set up and you like to stay up really late and then wake up really late or you stay up late wake up early and you're super tired and exhaustion is this kind of like an endless cycle. Then my advice is to fold in that case so you have two options the first is to really jolt yourself into a new routine.

It's something that I like to do but I'm a little hardcore because I've been waking up early for so many years so I kind of know what to expect. So what I like to do is if I get out of track or out of whack then I will stay up however late fall asleep. Whenever my body gets tired and then the next day have my alarm set very very early so I am forced to wake up what ends up happening is I am so tired the next day. I have my coffee and I cut all coffee afternoon and I am exhausted by the time nine o'clock ten o'clock rolls around and I fall asleep very easily my alarm has been set again early for the next day and about one or two test cycles of doing.

That I am back on track so if that seems a little too hardcore for you maybe you really don't wake up early you don't really have a lot of experience with it and I recommend doing it gradually and instead try to set your alarm just for like 10 to 15 minutes earlier every day. I find that that's enough to kind of recondition yourself so do that for about a week and I guarantee you that you're gonna start to naturally fall into a new rhythm that makes it a lot easier to stick to this next tip is something that my mom taught me years ago. Before I had a cellphone to wake me up and I was using a traditional alarm clock. I was transitioning. I think school maybe was middle school to high school I was having a hard time redoing my routines so my mom recommended putting my alarm clock on the other end of the room.
